ABOUT THE PROJECT

AUGEIAS research project aims to capitalize research results in the field of Internet of Things (IoT) and Low Power Wide Area Networks (LPWAN) to create a smart ecosystem, which utilizes machine learning techniques that will enable and optimize the use of treated wastewater reuse in agriculture.

The "smart ecosystem" will consist of:

a) an innovative and easy to install and configure broadband and low power network,

b) wireless sensors and actuators with high energy autonomy installed at optimal points on the field's surface and at the water outlets of the biological treatment, that will allow real-time measurements and the creation of automations,

c) a platform that collects data from sensors, correlates them with open data, processes and analyzes them and provides smart decision support regarding treated wastewater reuse. The platform will also include a system for predicting quantitative and qualitative production change by taking into account real-time data and measurements of the specific field and combines them with open data.
