Title: Intelligent IoT management platform for treated wastewater reuse for agricultural use
Acronym: AUGEIAS
Project Coordinator: Malamati Louta
Partners: UNIVERSITY OF WESTERN MACEDONIA, AGROSENSE, MUNICIPAL ENTERPRISE FOR WATER SUPPLY AND SEWERAGE OF KOZANI
This research has been co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund of the European Union and Greek national funds through the Operational Program Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, under the call RESEARCH – CREATE – INNOVATE (project code T2EDK-04211).
The main objective of the Action "Research - Create - Innovate" is to link research and innovation with entrepreneurship and to strengthen the competitiveness, productivity and extroversion of enterprises towards international markets, in order to transition to quality innovative entrepreneurship and increase domestic added value. This action aims to channel available resources directly and efficiently to promote research activities and the application of innovations in enterprises through a series of interventions.
Duration: July 2020 - January 2023
Short description of the project:
AUGEIAS focuses on commercializing research findings in the areas of IoT and machine learning in agriculture, by developing an integrated intelligent ecosystem consisting of an innovative, easy-to-install and fully-parametrised low power wide area network, IoT end-devices, that will provide real-time measurements from the wastewater treatment infrastructure and the agriculture sites, a production prediction system, which exploits statistics and combines them with open data, and an intelligent water management system exploiting both water resources and treated wastewater, that properly defines the quantity to be used. Additionally, the platform will provide an intelligent pricing system for the treated wastewater.
